Standard 3: Learning Environments

The teacher works with others to create environments that support individual and collaborative learning, and that encourage positive social interaction, active engagement in learning, and self motivation.

Introduction to Artifact: The first artifact is a UMF Lesson Plan created for 8th grade students for their RTi class and for my EDU 221. The overall purpose was to discuss what is art and its many functions in our world and how it goes undetected which one can see in the second artifact for Standard 3, the What is Art? Presentation. 

This artifact was specifically for students to discuss about what art is and the artifact was used to create an outline of not only my time in the classroom, but gave

Reflection: Growth & Future Impact: These artifacts allowed me to see the importance of tailoring a lesson to students that not only benefits them by thinking about the complexitity of art, but the complexitiy of each individual and their own coping skills. I believe it is importance for students, especially for 7th and 8th graders, to know what helps them cope with difficult situations. 

This artifact influences my future practice by being open and using events around students to make learning more important and influential.
